Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about planning your team offsite in Almaty

Do I need a visa to visit Kazakhstan?

Citizens from 30+ countries including the US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, and many others can enter Kazakhstan visa-free for up to 30 days. This makes planning your offsite incredibly simple with no visa paperwork required for most teams.

What's the best time of year to visit?

+

April-May and September-October offer the best weather with mild temperatures (15-25°C) perfect for both indoor work and outdoor activities. Summer (June-August) is great for mountain hikes, while winter offers unique experiences like skiing and thermal springs.

How do we get to Almaty?

+

Almaty International Airport (ALA) has direct flights from major cities including Istanbul, Dubai, Frankfurt, Moscow, and many Asian hubs. Most teams connect through these cities. We can help arrange airport transfers and provide detailed travel guidance.

What's included in the program pricing?

+

Our pricing includes accommodation, workspace access, all meals, activity coordination, local transportation, 24/7 support, and cultural experiences. The only extras are international flights and personal expenses. We handle all logistics so you can focus on your team and projects.

Is it safe for international teams?

+

Absolutely. Kazakhstan has very low crime rates and Almaty is extremely safe for tourists. The country ranks higher than many European destinations on global safety indices. We provide 24/7 local support and emergency contacts for complete peace of mind.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and accessibility needs?

+

Yes, we work with venues and restaurants that can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, and other dietary requirements. We also ensure our selected accommodations and workspaces meet accessibility standards. Just let us know your team's needs during planning.

How far in advance should we book?

+

We recommend booking 2-3 weeks in advance for optimal venue selection and flight pricing. However, we can accommodate shorter timelines with 1-2 weeks notice. Peak seasons (spring and fall) may require longer lead times for the best options.

What People Are Saying

Real experiences from people who've transformed their dynamics in Almaty

I visited Almaty in February 2025. I had never been to Kazakhstan prior to this but had close friends from college from there. Upon visiting I was amazed - what a beautiful place! From out of this world scenery to great night life, delicious food and a strong coworking culture - I found it easy to fit in and not only enjoy a largely unexplored part of the world, but also progress my work and career. I met many motivated and friendly Kazakhs who I shared great memories with. I left in disbelief that I had never given Kazakhstan, and Almaty, the attention it truly deserves! Since then I have been singing its praises back in Ireland. I would definitely recommend!

I visited Almaty in August 2025 and the weather couldn’t have been better, warm and sunny during the day, then cool and refreshing in the evenings. The city itself is really easy to navigate, with plenty of good hotels and excellent internet, which makes working remotely seamless. What stood out most was the mix of local knowledge and hidden gems: small restaurants, markets, and places you’d never stumble across on your own. People are incredibly friendly and welcoming. On top of that, just outside the city you’ve got incredible nature on your doorstep, Big Almaty Lake and the mountains are unforgettable. It’s a perfect balance of comfort, culture, and adventure, and I’d highly recommend it for an offsite.

Almaty presents a compelling and unique case for any team considering a work offsite. The city itself is a fantastic hub for productivity, offering excellent digital infrastructure and a welcoming atmosphere that makes remote collaboration seamless. What truly elevates Almaty as a destination, however, is the unparalleled work-life balance it facilitates. Its immediate proximity to breathtaking nature is a key advantage; the scenic mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and the world-class Shymbulak ski resort create the perfect environment for a team to disconnect, recharge, and bond after focused work sessions. This powerful blend of urban efficiency and natural wonder provides an incredible backdrop for fostering creativity and strengthening team dynamics. For any organization looking to combine productivity with unforgettable shared adventures, Almaty is a destination that delivers on all fronts.
